After suffering a stress fracture, England pacer Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the summer. Still, wicketkeeper-bat Jonny Bairstow has recovered from his leg injury and will play in the one-off Test against Ireland.

According to Cricket Live Score, Archer returned home in the middle of the ongoing IPL 2023 season, and recent scans revealed that he has a stress fracture in his right elbow. The pacer will now spend time with the medical teams from England and Sussex, who will oversee his injury management.

Rob Key, ECB Managing Director for England Men’s Cricket, stated that Jofra Archer has been experiencing a trying and stressful time. “He was making good progress until a recurrence of the elbow injury that had previously kept him out for an extended period.” We wish him all the best in his recovery. I’m confident Jofra will return to his best and win games for England, regardless of the format. Hopefully, this will happen sooner rather than later.
