Anderson ruled out from the remaining Tests against South Africa

England pace bowler James Anderson has been ruled out of the rest of England’s tour of South Africa due to a rib injury caused during the final day of the 2nd Test at Newlands. Although the English team was hopeful that the injury was not serious, Anderson underwent an MRI scan in Cape Town on Wednesday which revealed that it was significant enough to rule him out of the two remaining Tests. Anderson will return home to the UK in the next few days.
