Buoyant USA brace for Bangladesh challenge for historic series

USA gears up to face Bangladesh in their first series against a full member nation from the subcontinent at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC), around 50 miles west of Houston. All three games are scheduled at the PVCC before the teams head north to Dallas for a T20 WC warm-up game on 28 May. While Bangladesh may be considered favorites, they shouldn’t underestimate USA. The USA team, fresh off a 4-0 victory over Canada in April, boasts a revamped side capable of challenging the visitors in unfamiliar conditions, reports Cricket Live Score.

Led by openers Monank Patel and Steven Taylor, USA’s batting lineup appears formidable. Both players showcased their destructive form against Canada, amassing a combined total of 235 runs in three innings. Additionally, former Knights WK batsman Andries Gous has made a mark with his aggressive batting performances.

On the bowling front, former India U19 left-arm spinner Harmeet Singh has strengthened USA’s attack with his consistent performances, while Ali Khan leads the pace battery with his fiery spells. Left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar adds further depth to the bowling lineup with his ability to swing the ball effectively.

For Bangladesh, the series provides an opportunity to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming World Cup. Debutant Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy showed promise in the recent series against Zimbabwe, while Bangladesh will be banking on Litton Das to regain his form as a key player in their batting lineup.
