Former India batter Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 39-year-old made the announcement through a photo montage on Instagram, captioned.
Jadhav, known for his middle-order batting and handy part-time offspin with a unique slingy round-arm delivery, debuted for India in an ODI against Sri Lanka in November 2014. He made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in Harare in July 2015. Overall, Jadhav played in 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is and was part of the Indian squad that reached the semifinals of the 2019 50-over World Cup, reports Cricket Live Score.
Jadhav’s breakthrough came earlier in the IPL, debuting for Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils) in the 2010 edition with a 29-ball 50*. He later played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Jadhav concludes his career with 1389 runs in ODIs at an average of 48.03 and a strike rate of 101.60, including two centuries and 27 wickets. In T20Is, he scored 122 runs, and in the IPL, he amassed 1208 runs.
A veteran middle-order batter for Maharashtra, Jadhav played in 87 first-class matches, scoring 6100 runs at an average of 48.03, including 17 centuries and 23 fifties. He was a key player for the Maharashtra team that reached the Ranji Trophy final in 2013-14, leading the run-charts with 1223 runs that season.
