England opening batsman Rory Burns will be out of the game for four months after undergoing surgery on ruptured ligaments in his left ankle. Rory will miss England’s two-match test tour of Sri Lanka in March. Rory suffered the injury while playing football in the warm-up before England’s training session at Newlands, the day before the second Test against South Africa. Kent’s young opener Zak Crawley replaced him in the side.
