Bangladesh coach Najmul Hossain said on Tuesday that he is taking time to decide on veteran opener Tamim Iqbal’s return to the country. Najmul met Tamim at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on April 15 to discuss the future of the national team.
Tamim, who retired from T20Is, is now available in two more formats , reports Cricket Live Score.
“We just talked about cricket. Where Tamim is now and what I as the captain and the team management think. It’s hard to say for sure at this point because it’s just a matter of time and he wondered if he could think about it. Let DPL finish this, I’ll have to think about it. Najmul told reporters in an exclusive program on Monday that the left-hander was stunned when he faced
“Although he has already retired from T20, if he somehow comes back, I want him to be happy and I think not only me, but the whole country’s people and hockey players will appreciate this wish, but most importantly should he do this? I made a request and then the process of getting him back began, but I asked him what I wanted as captain and we talked a bit.
Najmul added that he is not willing to make an announcement ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup but will do it if the expectations are not too high.
