Shashank Manohar stepped down as ICC Chairman after four years

Shashank Manohar steps down as ICC Chairman after four years of his tenure. The ICC Board met on Wednesday (July 1) and Imran Khwaja, the deputy chairman, has been appointed as the interim chairman till Manohar’s successor is finalised by next week. Manohar became the ICC chairmanship in 2016, when he was elected unopposed, and continued a second term in 2018 in similar fashion. In the first two years in office, Manohar made few changes to ICC’s governance structure and financial model, despite strong opposition from BCCI.
