Tom Westley on Essex club behalf conveys apologies for pouring beer on Muslim player

Tom Westley makes apology on behalf of his team after an incident witnessing a young Muslim player being poured with alcohol at Lord’s. The Essex team captain had made an apology note as the incident happened after lifting the Bob Willis Trophy on 1^st November.

While the photographs were shot during the precious moments of lifting the trophy and there on, Feroze Khushi, a 21-year-old batsman was seen grimacing as beer is poured over his head by another young player on the staff.

Feroze has played four games in the group stage of the tournament. The incident of pouring beer unintentionally occurred at a time of great sensitivity towards such issues in the game across the country.
