Vikram Solanki named as Surrey head coach

Former England batsman Vikram Solanki has been appointed as Surrey’s head coach, the club announced to media on Friday (June 12). Solanki will be replacing Michael Di Venuto after serving as his assistant coach since 2018. Venuto (former Australian cricketer and coach) has ended his tenure with the club last month after serving a four-year term. Solanki has joined Surrey as a player in 2013, he retired from all formats of the game in 2016.
